A helpful suggestion on a bridge in one of my favorite ugly parts of town; the canal over where Grand Street and Metropolitan Avenue meet up.
Seems as good a place to jump off as any. The height won’t get you, but the filthy water certainly will.
Artist and Craftsman Supply is an art store that I frequent on Metropolitan Avenue. They always have great, weird, clever, funny paintings and other artwork in their windows — I think I posted a picture a while back of the classic old farmer couple painting, done with sharks in place of humans — but this here is my favorite in a long while.
